A quick note before we start…
This bottle of P&S Dream Maker Gloss Amplifier (16oz / 473ml, priced at £11.95) was kindly sent to me by Prestige Car Care Shop for an honest and fair review. As always, what follows is my genuine experience with the product. https://www.prestigecarcareshop.com
What is P&S Dream Maker Gloss Amplifier?
P&S Dream Maker is a specialist gloss enhancer spray designed to deliver an ultra-wet, show car finish. Developed alongside Renny Doyle and the McCall Detailing Team, it’s aimed squarely at enthusiasts and professionals who want the deepest, richest gloss possible for car shows, events, or photography. Unlike many quick detailers, it’s not built for protection or durability — it’s all about maximum visual impact.
What others are saying
- Detailers note that Dream Maker provides a jaw-dropping “wet” gloss unlike most sprays on the market.
- Community feedback highlights its ease of application and instant results, making it a favourite for last-minute show prep.
- Some users point out that while the gloss is incredible, it doesn’t offer long-term protection — best used alongside a sealant or ceramic coating.
My experience
Using Dream Maker for the first time was a bit of a “wow” moment. After a normal wash and dry, I applied it lightly across the panels. Within seconds of buffing, the paintwork transformed — it genuinely looked wetter, deeper, and richer. The finish almost had a “liquid” look, especially noticeable on darker colours.
What I really appreciated was how easy it is to apply. It doesn’t fight you like some high-gloss sprays that streak or need constant rebuffing. Instead, it flashes quickly and wipes off cleanly, leaving nothing but shine behind. On top of an existing wax or coating, it added a new dimension of depth that was noticeable even in low light.
I also tested it on a bright sunny day and found it behaved well without smearing — provided you use a light mist and quality microfibre. This makes it ideal for last-minute touch-ups before heading out or when parked up at a meet. The downside is that it doesn’t add meaningful protection, so I wouldn’t rely on it beyond looks. But for that instant “show car pop,” it’s brilliant.
How to use
- Wash and dry your car as usual to remove any dirt or dust.
- Lightly mist Dream Maker onto a panel or directly onto a microfibre towel.
- Spread evenly with the towel, covering the full panel.
- Flip to a dry side of the towel and buff to a deep, glossy shine.
- Best applied in shaded conditions, but safe for use in sunlight if used sparingly.
