Build Quality & What You Get
The Nilfisk Core 150 arrived securely packaged. As soon as I unboxed it, I noticed its thoughtfully designed features for domestic cleaning. This review focuses on first impressions, build quality, storage, and included accessories. At this stage, I have not yet tested the unit for cleaning.
Unboxing & Initial Build Quality
After removing the Core 150 from its packaging, I found the construction solid and purposeful. The plastics feel durable, and the weight provides confidence that it can handle regular domestic use.
Moreover, Nilfisk applied consistent branding across the unit, wheels, and lance. All moving parts operate smoothly straight out of the box, and nothing feels cheap or flimsy.

Handle, Storage & Portability
One feature that stood out immediately is the handle design. Halfway down the handle, a quick-release push button allows the handle to fold away easily. Consequently, storing the Core 150 in a garage or shed becomes straightforward, especially where space is limited.
The wheels roll smoothly, which makes moving the unit around patios or driveways effortless.
Controls & Power Settings
The front-mounted power controller features four selectable positions: Off, 1, 2, and 3. Each setting corresponds to different cleaning power depending on the nozzle used. Nilfisk also added a small instructional sticker on the rear, visually explaining which nozzle and power combination to use for optimal results. This feature reduces guesswork for beginners.
Lance, Hose & Connections
The Nilfisk gun and lance connect via a quick-release hose fitting, allowing fast and simple setup. Additionally, a safety on/off toggle switch is integrated into the lance for extra control during use.
Two dedicated storage points on the main body secure the gun and lance when not in use. Everything has a place, which keeps the machine organized.
The 10-metre high-pressure hose reels smoothly using the integrated hose reel. Directional arrows show the correct way to rewind the hose, while the free-spinning handle makes retraction controlled and easy. The power cable also stores neatly on a rear loop, secured with an elastic band to prevent tangling.
Nozzles, Accessories & Onboard Storage
The Core 150 comes with two spray nozzles, each with dedicated onboard storage:
- Cyclone-style (rough) nozzle – designed for aggressive cleaning tasks
- Gentle spray nozzle – adjustable for lighter, more delicate cleaning tasks
The onboard storage keeps accessories accessible and prevents them from being lost. Nilfisk also supplies a cleaning pin tool to clear nozzle openings, which is often missing from domestic pressure washers.
Additionally, a detergent bottle sprayer is included for applying cleaning detergents. This tool is ideal for vehicle washing and pre-cleaning surfaces but does not produce snow foam. You can purchase dedicated snow foam accessories separately from Nilfisk. A tap connector allows quick connection to an outdoor water supply.

For clarity, Nilfisk’s current pressure washer lineup is structured as follows:
- Core Range: Designed primarily for domestic cleaning tasks. Snow foam equipment is not included as standard; however, users can add Nilfisk upgrades or fit aftermarket non-Nilfisk snow foam cannons using an optional adapter.
- Excellent Range: Supplied with everything required to snow foam a vehicle, including Nilfisk’s blue snow foam cannon as standard. Aftermarket non-Nilfisk accessories can also be fitted using an adapter.
